    My Story

    My name is Shannon McDonagh

Moose Island Foods grew from a deep love of the Cariboo and a lifelong passion for preserving good food. After years of building small, community‑focused businesses in Wells, I found myself continually creating simple, honest, handcrafted foods that captured the flavours of each season. What began as small‑batch preserves and mixes for locals naturally evolved into a brand dedicated to quality, authenticity, and the joy of putting food by.

Today, Moose Island Foods reflects that journey—shaped by hard work, inspired by this place, and driven by the belief that good food should be real, comforting, and made with care. Every product carries a little piece of the Cariboo and the pride of a maker who loves preserving the best of what we have.
